Embossed vacuum bags – channel bags – have a pattern embossed on the inside that creates air channels. It is the channels that make it possible for an external sealer to draw out the air at all, since the sides of the bag would otherwise be pressed straight against each other.
When do you need embossed bags?
When you have an external vacuum sealer, also called a suction or out-of-chamber machine. That is the type where you place the open edge of the bag in the machine instead of putting the whole bag in a chamber.
If you have a chamber machine, use smooth bags – they are cheaper and give a better seal.
Embossed or textured – is it the same thing?
In practice, yes. "Textured" refers to how the pattern is made, "embossed" to how it looks. Both describe a bag with channels for external sealers.
Material and performance
PA/PE 20/70 in 90 micron, freezer-safe down to -25 °C. Extends shelf life up to four to five times compared with ordinary storage. Made in Italy by Orved.

From 15x20 cm to 30x40 cm, in packs of 100. If you need a length that isn't available as a ready-made bag, take a look at channel film on a roll – then you cut it yourself.
